The vast array of cheese are displayed in an 80,000 square ft complex. Each year the entries keep growing, with submissions coming in last year from 26 different countries.
Billy Kevan comments; “We are thrilled to have won such an outstanding accolade. Achieving Supreme Champion at Nantwich Show is recognition of the hard work by our team at Colston Bassett Dairy, in delivering consistently good cheese – for almost one hundred and one years! After having won Supreme Champion recently at the Great Yorkshire Show, we are extremely pleased to be adding another prized title so quickly this year. It is an honour to be awarded this at the International Cheese Awards.”
Last year Colston Bassett celebrated their centenary and the Stilton was awarded Best British Cheese at the World Cheese Awards. This year Colston Bassett Dairy has already collected two Supreme Champion titles – at Great Yorkshire Show and now at the 2014 International Cheese Awards.
