Colston Bassett Stilton has been enjoying a highly successful summer.  Our world famous Stilton and our Shropshire Blue have confirmed just how good they are during the past week. The Shropshire Blue has been awarded three gold stars in the Great Taste Awards run by The Guild of Fine Food. This year there were just under 10,000 entries and only 125 of these achieved the coveted three gold stars. A further 645 reached the level of two gold stars and this was awarded to the Stilton.

Billy Kevan, Dairy Manager at Colston Bassett Dairy commented; “It is excellent to be recognised in the ultimate test for our consumers – taste. We make our cheese traditionally using the milk from our farmer members, all coming from within 1.5 miles of the dairy. We know that we are doing the best that we can to produce top quality cheese and we are really pleased to be recognised for this.”
