Colston Bassett Dairy, continue to add to their run of awards success – Colston Bassett Stilton has just been announced as Reserve Champion UK and Best Stilton at the International Cheese Awards, held in Nantwich, Cheshire.
Reserve Champion UK is just one of the outstanding accolades Colston Bassett Dairy achieved for their Champion cheese at this year’s awards. Announced on the Trade Day, Tuesday 28th July, the Nottinghamshire dairy also won, for the second year running, the Cathedral City Crown Stilton Trophy awarded for Best Stilton. This was alongside a gold medal for ‘Whole Blue Stilton, open to producers who are producing less than 1,000 tonnes annually’ and a silver medal for ‘Whole Blue Stilton’.
The International Cheese Awards are the world’s largest awards celebration of outstanding cheese. Now in their 118th year, the Awards have never been bigger – this year saw a record-breaking 4,615 entries, from 274 exhibitors, based in 31 different countries.
